Penni formed Warburg Associates in 2007, having enjoyed a successful career in both corporate Human Resources and Organisation Development, and as an independent HR consultant for many years. She worked with blue-chip companies: IBM, CSC, EDS, Barclays, Parity, Thorn-EMI.
She loves nothing more than making a real difference to companies and building lasting partnerships, influencing and working collaboratively with a variety of senior management teams. In 2007 she started working with smaller clients who had HR requirements. It was clear that these smaller clients would not need full-time HR support. But when they did need it, they needed it quickly, and they needed a professional to help them navigate through the legal minefield. Over a period of time she has built up long-term partnerships with clients and is often asked to come and do one-off projects as well as be available for the Just In Time HR service.
Penni’s spare time is spent with family and friends. She has three teenage children and lives with her husband, Paul, in Bookham in Surrey. She loves walking and swimming and is proud of having recently completed a 26-mile cancer-charity overnight walk and still gloats about her medal!
Helen has a strong commercial background in corporate roles. She has nearly 20 years’ experience of HR work, primarily focussed in the hi-tech world where she held management roles at various software and internet organisations, and spent 3 years as the HR Director of an international telecoms company before pursuing a freelance career. The step away from the corporate world gave her the opportunity to work more flexibly and widely across various public, private and charity sector organisations where she greatly enjoys the challenges of interim and consulting work.
Helen enjoys project work, and has an eye for detail, which enables her to plan out and implement solutions to deliver specific benefits to clients. She still loves getting involved at the hands-on level to help to resolve organisational and employee relations issues effectively, and so enjoys providing ad-hoc HR services to clients.
Helen is married and has a couple of tropical fish tanks, as well as a wide circle of family and friends to entertain and keep her busy in her spare time. She has also discovered the joys of gardening and a more outdoor lifestyle after moving to a very sociable Surrey village.
Sinead worked for Parity Group plc for 12 years, building her career from an HR administrator up to strategic HR Business Partner for one of the business divisions. She provided comprehensive advice and guidance to the Managing Director and senior management teams, providing a service to a distributed workforce across England and Northern Ireland. She repeatedly proved her ability to provide an effective value-add service while working in a fast-moving, pressurised environment. She prides herself on her ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines. Sinead has run business-critical projects which have provided cost-savings and streamlining efficiencies to the business.
Sinead enjoys catching up with friends and family, although most of her spare time is spent with her husband and two young children. She loves walking, reading and cooking.
Denise’s early HR career was spent with Thorn EMI before moving to IBM. She also worked for Bull and Sequent where she specialised in leadership development. She then joined Equant as HR Director for a business division; she led the worldwide restructuring programme for HR during a three-way merger between Equant, SITA and Global One. Denise then joined a niche HR consultancy and since July 2007 has been working independently with blue-chip corporations such as Carphone Warehouse, Vodafone and Experian.
Clients describe Denise as an unusually capable Project Manager who focuses on delivering results and builds great teams. She has specialist knowledge of restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, leadership and management development.
Denise was an international swimmer in her youth and still enjoys swimming to ease the tensions of the M25. She is a keen hill walker and recently spent 3 months walking 6 of the Great Walks in New Zealand. Other favourite spots include the Lakes and the South Downs. Denise lives in Weybridge.
Anne’s HR career spans 25 years most of which were spent in the IT and Professional Services sector with companies such as GEC,EDS and CSC. Anne was Group HR Director of Parity PLC when she left the corporate world to explore life as an independent consultant in 2004.
Since then, Anne has helped her clients’ companies improve performance through various organisation and people development projects that include building effective teams, managing performance, coaching, managing and communicating change and training delivery.
Anne’s style is open and persuasive. She has excellent communication skills and challenges constructively. Her honest and respectful approach to people builds commitment and delivers results. Anne is also a qualified therapist and works with private and business clients in this capacity.
